“The wackiest and most innovative performance piece of the year” – Stage Magazine, “Top 50 Shows of 2024”
After our smash-hit 2024 collaboration on The Worst Cafe in the World, we are delighted to partner with Big Telly again — and to welcome our friends at Inis Nua to the partnership!
Granny Jackson’s Dead… but her story isn’t.
Her family would like to invite all those who knew her to pay their respects and give her a good send off. She will be dearly missed by her devoted, adoring, clever, beautiful, hardworking, long-suffering, generous-to-a-fault daughter Susan, and by the rest of the family. For anyone who would like to connect with her, she will also be streamed across several platforms and mixed realities. More details to come.
This immersive performance drops you into the wildest wake in town, featuring three Belfast-based performers alongside local actors, including Tiny Dynamite favorites Taylor Congdon (Home for the Holidays, Happy (Early Bird) New Year), associate artistic director Meghan Winch, and at select performances Satchel Williams (a mainstay of our holiday pop-ups).
The first week of performances will take place in a private residence in Collingswood, NJ, just across the bridge from Philadelphia and easily accessible via PATCO. The second week of performances will take place as part of the Origin 1st Irish Festival Off-Broadway in NYC.

Accessibility
- This performance uses flashing lights, loud noises and immersive technology.
- Themes of death and grief.
- In the Collingswood private home, stairs are required. We will update this page with information about the NYC venue soon.
- Please also note that at her Collingswood home, Granny Jackson kept a cat; the cat will not be present at the wake, but he has been in the rooms.
While we love providing pies and pints with our shows, this is a special event and not part of our A Play, a Pie, and a Pint series; food and beverage is not included.
