Jane Austen’s 250th Birthday Party

Our beloved Jane Austen would be celebrating her 250th birthday this year, and we want to celebrate her in style!

Come party with us, featuring high-tea treats and a staged reading of the full-length play The Austens by Sarah Rose Kearns. This delightfully biographical play imagines Jane and her sister Cassandra in the spring of 1810, before any of her work has been published. When their fierce and fiery niece Anna comes to stay with them, Jane considers her own place in the world — and whether her words ought to reach more of it.

Every ticket comes with a selection of tea snacks; tea; and a beer, wine, or soft drink. Please note that The Austens is a full-length play, and the event will run approximately 2.5 hours.

This event takes place after the closing performance of our co-production with Inis Nua, The Greatest Play in the History of the World… by Ian Kershaw. Make a day of it by joining us for both — information and tickets for that show here!
